The Lovers

The Lovers

The Lovers. What does this Tarot card mean? It is about love and romance but also about choice. It is about opening your heart, but not just to another. It is about opening to the Universe and trusting your intuition when making an important decision.   This means looking inside.

When someone consults the Tarot, they are ultimately asking, “What do I want out of life?”

My question to my readers is: Do you want adventure?

Every time you walk out of your comfort zone is when you will experience adventure. When encountering the mysterious unknown you will always remain a little apprehensive. You wonder: Where will this pathway lead?

In my book, Blue Moon Apothecary, my character Krystle is a bored college student with no direction in life. She desires romance, adventure and the unknown. And of course, magic. Who doesn’t want a little magic thrown their way?

But that naturally will bring wonder, fear and suspense as to what will happen next.

Phillip, her love interest, brings all this and more. He introduces her to a set of odd characters and a new “alchemical” perspective on life. And Death.

Ouija Board

He introduces her to “wyrdness”. Yes, I meant to spell it like that.

Wyrd is defined by Urban Dictionary as: The web of cause-and-effect that permeates the universe. The Germanic/North European equivalent of karma. Not to be understood as an externally-controlling fate but rather as the natural consequence of one’s own actions; each person shapes their own wyrd.

Are you ready for wyrd???
