Lovin’ Steampunk

Lovin’ Steampunk

I really love Steampunk. I enjoy making and wearing what I call industrial chic jewelry. What is steampunk? Urban dictionary says it succinctly:

It could be described by the slogan “What the past would look like if the future had happened sooner.” It includes fiction with science fiction, fantasy or horror themes.

Although the term steampunk was coined in the 1980’s, this subgenre of fiction literature emerged largely in the 60’s and 70’s. Its influence has grown to include fashion, art, music, photography, film and even a lifestyle for some with LARP and cosplay.

I admit that I don’t do cosplay or totally adopt the true steampunk look of corsets, vintage gowns and bizarre apparel but I know someone that does: Kallie.

Kallie? Who’s that?

She is a strange vixen interested in this type of fashion and evens dons an eye patch. She is a character that resides in my book, Blue Moon Apothecary. I invented her to live out my steampunk fantasies.

She would love my industrial chic jewelry especially this piece; Steampunk Heart.

Kallie would love earrings to go with it, right?

If you are like Kallie; into steampunk, magic, alchemy, mystery, with a little weird and creepy (ghost stories included) thrown in, check out my books.
